Yoghurt cupcake

I would like to share with you a cake recipe that every French kid adores: Gateau au yaourt (in english: “Yoghurt cake”).  We customized the recipe by using an American cupcake pan (cupcakes don’t exist in France). It is yummy!


– 1 cup of yoghurt
– 3 cups of flour
– 2 cups of sugar
– 3/4 cups of canola oil or peanut oil.
– 1 teaspoon of baking soda
– 3 eggs


– Pre-heat the oven at 410°F (210°C).
– In a large bowl, mix the yoghurt and the eggs.

Dannon Plain Yoghurt

– Then add the sugar, stir in the flour and the baking soda.
– Finally add the oil.
– Whisk all together gently until well incorporated. This is how it should look like:

– Pour to 3/4 full into the cupcake pan (you have put baking cups into the cupcake pan beforehand) and bake at 410°F (210°C) for 25 minutes.
