Gratin Dauphinois

Gratin Dauphinois comes from the Dauphiné region in France. This region is in the Alps, and Grenoble is the main city. Gratin Dauphinois is very easy to make and so good! It is basically patatoes baked with milk and cream.

Ingredients for 4 persons:

– 2 lbs, 1 kg patatoes
– 1 garlic clove
– 2 tblsps, 30 g butter
– 1 cup, 25 cl milk
– 1 cup, 25 cl sour cream
– Salt, pepper

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
Cut the patatoes in thin slices.

– Coat a large baking pan with butter.
– Lay minced garlic on the pan.

– Lay the patatoes on the pan and cover with milk and sour cream. Add salt and pepper.

Bake for 1 hour at 350°F (180°C). This is what you should get:
