Vinaigrette (salad dressing)

Forget French and Italian dressings ! French people never buy dressings in supermarkets as it is so simple to make a good vinaigrette (dressing) at home.

– 3 tablespoons of oil (olive oil, canola oil, peanut oil, or any other oil)
– 1 tablespoon of wine vinegar
– 1 pinch of salt and pepper.


– In a bowl, put the oil, vinegar, salt and pepper.
– Whisk until it looks smooth.
– Add any vegetable you like (green salad, tomato, etc…)
– Stir gently to mix the vinaigrette and the vegetables.
– Below is a example with Mâche green salad.
